Piperacillin and tazobactam injection is used to treat pneumonia and skin, gynecological and abdominal (stomach area) infections caused by bacteria. Piperacillin is in a class of medications called penicillin antibiotics.

Usage:-

• Highly active against both gram positive & gram negative bacteria.
• Recommended therapy in intensive care medicine, some diabetes related foot infection.
• Safe and highly efficacious in the treatment of serious pneumonia in hospitalized patients.
